How to Make Almond Flour Waffles

Preheat your waffle maker. In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond flour, xanthan gum, sweetener, baking powder, cinnamon, orange zest, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until fully combined. Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until you get a smooth, pourable batter.

Lightly grease the waffle iron with nonstick spray. Pour in 1/4 to 1/2 cup of batter depending on your waffle iron size. Cook according to manufacturer's instructions until golden brown and crisp.

Let the finished waffles cool on a wire rack while you cook the remaining batter. Transfer to a platter and top with chopped almonds and chocolate chips if desired. Serve with coffee or tea.
