How We Use AI

We believe in using the best tools available to help us communicate clearly and serve our readers better. Here are ways we use AI on our site:

  • Spelling & Grammar Check: To catch typos or minor errors before publishing.
  • Sentence and Paragraph Reconstruction: To rephrase or clarify complicated instructions, making recipes easier to follow.
  • Metadata Generation: For example, creating concise and accurate meta descriptions for recipes.
  • Code Review and Optimization: Assisting our developers in improving site code for better performance.
  • Formatting Support: AI may suggest headings, bullet points, or reformat text for clarity.

Every use of AI is always verified and checked by at least one person before anything goes live.

How We Do NOT Use AI

We never use AI to:

  • Write Full Recipes or Articles: All recipes are written, developed and tested by humans in real kitchens.
  • Create Fake Reviews or Comments: All feedback is from genuine users and our own team.
  • Generate Images of Food: All photos are taken by our team, from actual recipe testing.
  • Automate Medical or Nutritional Claims: All medical, allergen, or nutrition content is reviewed by qualified experts—never left to AI alone.

Example: How We Use AI

Scenario:
“I cooked pan-seared ribeye and I found that slicing the meat sideways was more efficient. Help me phrase that in a sentence.”

AI Suggestion:
“Slicing the ribeye steak across the grain (sideways) makes for more tender, bite-sized pieces and ensures a better eating experience.”

This sentence would then be reviewed and, if accurate and clear, added to the recipe by our editors.

Example: How We Do NOT Use AI

Scenario:
I need a unique food tip for Pan Seared Ribeye.

AI Suggestion:
“Try adding a splash of soy sauce to your ribeye before searing for an umami flavor boost.”

Classic Bakes Approach:
We would NOT use this tip unless it had been tested in our kitchen and approved by our team, because it does not match the recipe’s tested process or flavor profile.

Our Pledge

  • Transparency: We’re clear about our processes and the tools we use.
  • Human Oversight: Nothing replaces real cooking, testing, and expert review.
  • Quality First: Our goal is always to provide the best, most reliable, and most delicious recipes for our readers.
