You want to return home and unwind with something warm when it gets chilly. And this homemade Earl Grey Latte is one of the best ways to do that. Steep some Earl Grey tea and dried lavender. And top it with frothy steamed soy milk. Yes, it's that easy! Even though Earl Grey tea contains caffeine, it helps you relax. That's because Early Grey tea contains bergamot, which makes you feel relaxed. Bergamot also boosts your mood, helping fight off the blues. Moreover, bergamot also boosts your metabolism and is suitable for your gut. Now that's a winning latte!  

What does Earl Grey Latte taste like?

Earl Grey Latte has floral, citrusy notes due to the Earl Grey tea, a blend of black tea and bergamot essential oil. However, this is offset by the sweetness of the vanilla extract and brown sugar and the creaminess of the soy milk. Meanwhile, the lavender adds earthy, floral notes.

Does Earl Grey help you lose weight?

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Water

  • 1 Earl Grey Tea Bag

  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Lavender (plus extra for garnish)

  • 3/4 cup Soy Milk

  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

Place water in a saucepan or electric kettle and bring to a boil.

Place Earl Grey tea, 1/4 teaspoon dried lavender and hot water in a teapot. Let steep for 5 minutes.

Warm soy milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat until it is simmering. Make sure you don't let it boil! Then pour it into a French press. Using the French press plunger, pump milk until it doubles in volume.

Remove tea bag from tea pot and strain the lavender using a fine mesh strainer. Pour tea into a tea cup.

Add brown sugar and vanilla extract, stirring well.

Pour frothed soy milk into the teacup. Garnish with lavender.
