Want to enjoy Sour Cream and Onion Dip, but want to avoid dairy? This Sour Cream and Onion Dip is a great option. To make it dairy-free, we replaced sour cream with coconut cream. And we caramelized the onions to give the dip extra umami and sweetness.

And since it's ready in just 20 minutes, you can whip it up anytime you need a dip to dunk your veggies in.

This homemade dip also goes well with our Air Fryer Zucchini Chips.

What is sour cream dip made of?

Our sour cream dip is made of caramelized onions, coconut cream, and seasonings like sugar, salt, black pepper and garlic powder.

What flavor is sour cream?

Sour cream tastes milky and tart.

What can you use instead of sour cream?

You can use vegan sour cream, coconut cream, or vegan yogurt instead of sour cream.

Is sour cream just yogurt?

No, it's not. Sour cream is made by fermenting cream, while yogurt is made by fermenting milk. So, yogurt has a thinner consistency and contains less fat.
