Cranberry Sauce goes with turkey, like Grilled Turkey Steak, as peanut butter goes with jelly. But store-bought cranberry sauce can be lacking in flavor. There's nothing flavorless about this homemade cranberry sauce. The sweetness of the orange juice complements the tartness of the cranberries. And the orange zest adds a bright tanginess. What's more, this cranberry sauce takes just 15 minutes to make. So it doesn't take much time out of your busy holiday preparations.

  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice

  • 1/2 cup Water

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons Sugar

  • 12 ounces Fresh Cranberries

  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest (Reserve some for garnish)

  • Pinch of Salt

  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

  • Fresh Mint for garnish (Optional)


In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add orange juice, water, and sugar, stirring well.

Bring to a boil, then add cranberries, orange zest, salt, and cinnamon stick.

Bring to a boil and then let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Once the sauce is ready, discard the cinnamon stick.

Using a ladle, place sauce in a serving bowl.

Allow sauce to cool, then cover and place in the fridge.

Once ready to serve, garnish with orange zest and fresh mint.
