Apple slices are topped with lemon juice, coconut sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, cornstarch, and vegan butter. Ingredients

  • 6 large Apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

  • Juice of 1/2 a Lemon

  • 1/2 cup Coconut Sugar

  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

  • Pinch Nutmeg

  • Pinch Salt

  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch

  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Vegan Butter

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 °F.

Prepare oven for baking

In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, place the apples.

Prepare apples for baking

Top apples with lemon juice, coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cornstarch. Toss to combine.

Add lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cornstarch

Top apples with unsalted vegan butter, spreading evenly.

Cover with foil and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until soft and juicy, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes.

Baking the Cinnamon Apples

Let cool for 10 minutes after removing them from the oven before serving. Serve with non-dairy vanilla ice cream.
