Air Fryer Cod is a simple and fast dish you can make in just 20 minutes. Season cod fillets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, and dill. Then, air-fried until they're crispy outside and flaky inside. Served with a side of fresh spinach salad and a zesty lemon dill dressing. It's a delightful option for a light lunch or dinner. How long should cod be cooked in the air fryer?

Depending on the size of the cod fillet, it takes about 10–15 minutes to cook in the air fryer.

 

How do you know when cod is done in air fryer?

When they are done cooking, the cod fillets will easily flake with a fork. Additionally, the cod will have an internal temperature between 140 ºF and 145 ºF.

 

Can you put frozen cod in air fryer?

Yes, you can cook frozen cod in the air fryer. However, cooking will take 15–20 minutes or until the internal temperature is between 140 ºF and 145 ºF.

Ingredients

Air Fryer Cod:
  • 4 Alaska Cod Fillets

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 tablespoon fresh Dill, chopped

Spinach Salad:
  • 2 cups Spinach

  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved

  • 1/2 cup Kalamata Olives, chopped

  • 1/3 cup Olive Oil

  • Juice of 1 Lemon

  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

  • 1 tablespoon fresh Dill, minced

  • 1 Lemon, cut into thin slices

Instructions

Air Fryer Cod:

Preheat the air fryer to 380 °F.

Prepare Air fryer

Pat the cod fillets dry using paper towels and place them in a large bowl.

Drying the fish using paper towels

In a small bowl, whisk the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, and dill until combined.

Mixing all the seasonings

Pour it over the cod fillets and toss to coat them in the seasoning mixture.

Rub fish with the Seasonings

Place the cod fillets in the air fryer basket and cook them for 10–15 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.

Cooking the Air Fryer Cod
Spinach Salad:

Place the spinach, cherry tomatoes, and kalamata olives in a medium bowl.

Prepare vegetables

Whisk the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dill in a small bowl until combined.

Prepare salad dressing

Pour the dressing over the spinach salad and toss to combine.

Mixing vegetables and salad dressings

To serve, divide the cod fillets between 4 plates. Add the spinach salad and garnish with lemon slices.
