What kind of fish is best for fish tacos?

Lean white fish fillets like Cod, halibut, tilapia, snapper, and Mahi Mahi work well for fish tacos. These types of fish cook fast and have a mild taste, which complements the other taco ingredients without overwhelming them.

Can you put soft tacos in an air fryer?

Yes, you can definitely use an air fryer for soft tacos. Place the taco shells over taco molds in the air fryer basket, or use foil paper if molds are not available. Cook the tacos at 400°F for about 4 to 6 minutes until they turn crispy and golden. This method adds a nice crunch to your soft tacos and prepares them perfectly for filling with your desired ingredients.

What is the white sauce on fish tacos made of?

The white sauce typically used on fish tacos is made from sour cream or a sour cream-based sauce. In this recipe, the white sauce is a lime crema made by combining sour cream with lime zest, lime juice, minced garlic, finely chopped shallots, a dash of Mexican hot sauce, and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Are fish tacos healthy for you?

Fish tacos are a nutritious choice because they offer protein and omega-3 fatty acids, promoting satiety and brain health. Our fish tacos are also brimming with vegetables, enhancing their fiber content and providing essential nutrients such as immune-boosting vitamin C and potassium for regulating blood pressure.
