Why buy an expensive Iced Peppermint Mocha from your local coffee shop when you can make one at home for half the cost? This iced peppermint mocha is better than anything you can buy. It's made with espresso to give it a strong coffee flavor and served over ice. It is topped with coconut whipped cream and crushed candy canes to make it festive and delicious.

You’ll love this Iced Peppermint Mocha because it brings all the festive flavors you crave in an easy-to-make, at-home recipe. With a rich espresso base and refreshing peppermint, this drink offers a perfect balance of sweetness and bold coffee flavor.

Plus, it’s topped with coconut whipped cream for a creamy finish, making it a delightful and satisfying treat.

  • Use freshly brewed espresso for the best coffee flavor. If you don’t have an espresso machine, strong brewed coffee will work as a substitute.
  • To enhance the peppermint flavor, try adding a dash of peppermint extract to your whipped cream for an extra minty kick.
  • Chill the glass before serving to keep your iced mocha cold for longer.

  • Substitute almond milk with any plant-based milk like oat, soy, or coconut milk for a slightly different flavor profile.
  • If you prefer a more decadent version, use regular sugar and whipped cream instead of sugar-free and coconut whipped cream.
  • For a mocha with a stronger chocolate flavor, add an extra tablespoon of cacao powder.
  • If you don't have fresh mint, a small drop of extra peppermint extract can suffice.

If you have leftover Iced Peppermint Mocha, store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Just give it a quick stir before serving to redistribute the ingredients, and add fresh whipped cream and crushed candy canes to keep it festive. Avoid letting the whipped cream sit too long, as it can lose its light texture when refrigerated.

  • Espresso: For a bold, rich coffee base that complements the peppermint.
  • Peppermint Extract: Adds a refreshing minty flavor to the mocha.
  • Coconut Cream: Whipped into a light and fluffy topping, adding a dairy-free creamy texture.
  • Almond Milk: A light alternative to traditional milk that keeps this drink dairy-free.
  • Cacao Powder: Provides a rich chocolate flavor to balance the coffee and mint.
  • Sugar-Free Sweetener: Keeps the drink light and low in calories without compromising the sweetness.
  • Fresh Mint: Enhances the peppermint flavor and adds a fresh herbal note.
  • Crushed Candy Canes: For a festive, crunchy topping that adds sweetness and holiday charm.
