Ingredients

Creamy Wheat Porridge
Sweet Optional Ingredients
  • Sweeteners such as Brown SugarHoneyMaple Syrup or any sugar-free alternative sugar. 
  • Any dried fruit for example raisins, cranberries or dried apples 
  • Fresh fruits, such as berries
  • Nut Butter - Peanut, Almond or cashew butter
  • Spices - Cinnamon, Nutmeg or Pumpkin Spice 

Instructions

Using a saucepan, bring your liquid to a boil on medium to high heat and add salt.

Once the mixture has come to a boil, reduce the heat down to medium to low and slowly add the wheat while stirring using a wooden spoon at the same time for 3-5 minutes.

The porridge will thicken as the wheat absorbs the liquid even after it is removed from the heat. If you prefer a thinner texture to your porridge, add more liquid in a small amount at a time, stirring to incorporate into the mixture thoroughly.
