The creamy richness comes from the cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. The dip also includes several vegetables, such as spinach, red onions, and red bell peppers, to add freshness and color, and make it a little healthier.

It's baked until golden brown, then sprinkled with crispy crumbled bacon. To make this cheesy bacon spinach dip even healthier, you can serve it with vegetables like carrots or broccoli or make it even more decadent by serving it with our keto crackers or keto nacho chips.

How long does homemade spinach dip last?

The cheesy bacon spinach dip will last for 2–3 days in the fridge, stored in an airtight container.

Your spinach dip may be runny because you did not squeeze the excess moisture out of the frozen or cooked spinach before adding it to the dip. To prevent your dip from becoming too watery, place the cooked or frozen spinach in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze the excess moisture from it.

  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Leaves, chopped

  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced

  • 1/2 small Red Onion, minced

  • 1/2 small Red Bell Pepper, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed Red Pepper flakes

  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, room temperature

  • 2 tablespoons Almond Milk

  • 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

  • 1/2 teaspoon Coconut Aminos

  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

  • 10 strips Bacon, cooked, crumbled

  • Vegetables, keto crackers, or keto chips for serving


Preheat the oven to 400 °F.

Prepare oven for baking

Place the spinach, garlic, red onions, red bell pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, sour cream, cream cheese, almond milk, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, coconut aminos, kosher salt, and black pepper into a large bowl and mix until combined.

Place all the ingredients into a large bowl except bacon and crackers

Pour the dip into a 9-inch oven-proof medium skillet, spread it into an even layer, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake the dip for 20–22 minutes until the cheese melts, then set your oven to broil and cook it for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.

Next, sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top of the dip. Serve the dip with vegetables, keto crackers, or keto chips.
