What could be better than these Air Fryer Potatoes? They are crispy, golden brown, and delicious. Plus, they are straightforward to make. Simply cut the russet potatoes into wedges. Next, toss them with olive oil and seasoning, cook until golden brown, then toss in salty grated Parmesan cheese. These air fryer potatoes are the perfect 15-minute side dish that pairs with many dishes. Serve your air fryer potatoes with Portobello mushroom pizza, chimichurri burgers, or lamb burgers, and you will have the perfect meal.  

How long should I cook a potato in air fryer?

It depends on the size of the potato. It takes about 15 minutes to cook potato wedges. In contrast, diced potatoes take about 15-20 minutes to cook. An entire potato takes 40 minutes to cook in the air fryer. 

 

Why do you soak potatoes before air frying?

Soaking potatoes before air frying them helps remove some of the starch, creating crispier air-fried potatoes.

 

Is air fried potatoes good?

Yes, air-fried potatoes are good. The potatoes are crispy on the exterior, soft on the interior, and seasoned to perfection. 

 

Should I wrap my potato in foil before air frying?

There's no need to wrap potatoes in foil before frying them. It will make the skins soggy instead of crispy.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium Russet Potatoes, washed, cut into wedges

     

  • 4 tablespoons Olive Oil

     

  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika

     

  • 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder 

     

  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder 

     

  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

     

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

     

  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt

     

  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

     

  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray

     

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

     

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley, chopped

Instructions

Preheat your air fryer to 400 °F. 



 

Pre-heating the Air Fryer

Place the potatoes into a large bowl. Add the olive oil, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper and toss to coat the potatoes in the seasoning. 

 

Mixing potatoes with the seasonings

Spray the basket with non-stick cooking spray. 

 

Prepare air fryer basket

Add the potatoes to the air fryer in an even layer. Depending on your air fryer, you may have to cook the potatoes in batches.

Cook them for 15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes. The potatoes should be crispy and golden brown.

Place the parmesan cheese and parsley into a large bowl and stir to combine.
