How long do fries take to air fry?

It takes about 7-8 minutes to make apple fries in the air fryer.

Is it healthy to air fry fries?

Yes, it is healthy to air fry apple fries. Traditionally apple fries are fried in oil. Because they are air-fried, it reduces the amount of oil used to cook the apple fries, making them healthier. Additionally, apples are a good source of fiber and antioxidants and can stimulate weight loss and improve gut and brain health.

Are air fryers toxic?

Air fryers can release oily fumes, just like deep-frying food in oil. These fumes may cause health problems if they are ingested over long periods. Nevertheless, the risk is still lower than the fumes released by deep-frying.

Ingredients

Apple Fries
  • 3 large Gala Apples, peeled, cored, cut into wedges

  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk

  • 1 cup Keto Graham Cracker Crumbs (I used Tutti Gourmet keto graham style crumbs)

  • 1/4 cup Granular Sugar-Free Sweetener Sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon

  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray

Whipped Cream Cheese
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream

  • 1/3 cup Powdered Sugar Substitute (I used Swerve)

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

Apple Fries

Preheat the air fryer to 380 °F.

In a shallow dish, add almond milk.

Add the keto graham crackers, sugar substitute, and cinnamon and whisk to combine.

Dredge the apples into the milk, then into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Make sure you coat the apples evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Coat the bottom of the air fryer's basket with non-stick spray. Place the apple fries into the air fryer basket in an even layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; it's best to cook the apple fries in batches. Spray the apple fries lightly with non-stick cooking spray.

Cook the apple fries for 5 minutes, then turn them over and cook them for an additional 2 minutes.

Place the apple fries on a wire rack to cool slightly and continue cooking the apple fries.

Whipped Cream Cheese

In a large bowl, add the heavy cream and whip it with an electric hand mixer until it has stiff peaks. About 7-8 minutes.

In another medium bowl, add cream cheese, sugar substitute, and vanilla extract, and whip it until it is light and fluffy. About 2-3 minutes.

Place 1/3 of the whipped cream into the bowl with the cream cheese and mix until it is combined.

Place the whipped cream cheese into a small serving bowl.

Add the apple fries to a serving platter and serve it with whipped cream cheese.
