Summer just isn't complete without an Heirloom Tomato Salad. Furthermore, it's a simple yet fresh and tasty salad that is so easy to make. Simply arrange the tomatoes on a serving dish, add salt and peppers, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, red onions and parsley, and that's it. You've got the easiest heirloom tomato salad recipe on the planet. 
 

What is so special about heirloom tomatoes?
There's no denying it. Heirloom tomatoes taste better than hybrid tomatoes. What's more, heirloom tomatoes are considered a true breed. Therefore, you can save the seeds and plant them every year.   
How do you eat heirloom tomatoes?
Heirloom tomatoes are served with many foods. You can keep things simple and easy by serving the heirloom tomatoes with fresh basil and olive oil, or you can mix the flavors up and use heirloom tomatoes to make gazpacho. You can also bake the heirloom tomatoes by slicing and layering them in a baking dish along with eggplant and zucchini. You can also add heirloom tomatoes on top of avocado toast. 
What do heirloom tomatoes taste like?
Heirloom tomatoes have the perfect flavor that is sweet yet tart. In terms of texture, heirloom tomatoes have a slight mealy yet silky texture that makes them better than the average tomato.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Heirloom Tomatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds  
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt  
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper  
  • 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil  
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar  
  • 1 clove Garlic, grated   
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated  
  • 1/2 cup Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
Instructions 0%
Arrange the heirloom tomatoes on a serving dish, then sprinkle them with salt and pepper.   
To a small bowl, add olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and ginger, and pour it over the heirloom tomatoes.   
Sprinkle the thinly sliced onions and parsley over the heirloom tomato salad.   
Serve the heirloom tomato salad immediately.
