Precision meets Passion: A fusion of Narandradath's Engineering Expertise in Cake Design and Craftsmanship.
His beginnings were humble, but his dreams were always big. Growing up in the heartland of the sugar industry in Trinidad and Tobago, Narandradath Jaikaran hoped to become an aeronautical engineer. Hard times made that impossible, but he still managed to excel, graduating with both a B.Sc. In Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.
Narandradath’s early career spanned 25 years, beginning as a Mechanical Engineer and progressing to Maintenance Manager and then Training Coordinator in the heavy industrial sector, both in Trinidad and Barbados. But Narandradath had a deeply creative and nurturing side that drove him to develop a third career, in an unexpected place: Baking Chef!
After mastering the bakery industry for a further 15 years, he decided to specialize in celebratory cakes. Firstly, under local cake experts, then with teachers in Canada (Wilton) and most recently in London with world-renowned master cake artists, Ceri Griffits and Alann Dunn. He has traveled the globe to master the cake business, from Austria and Paris to New Zealand, England, the USA, Canada and further afield, combining this with ongoing online tutoring.
Even in retirement, Narandradath's legacy as a "Cake Engineer" endures. With expertise gleaned from years in engineering, he crafts celebratory cakes, especially wedding cakes, merging technology with artistic finesse. Known for his intricate designs and structural mastery, his cakes reflect a commitment to quality, precision, and attention to detail. From fondant modeling to advanced airbrushing, his repertoire showcases a lifetime of skill and dedication.
Narandradath’s wedding and celebratory cakes range from the local Trinidad Black Cake, to the authentic Trinidad Homemade Sponge Cake, egg and Sugar Free cakes.
