Sometimes you want to enjoy those onion rings or fries with Vegan Tartar Sauce. But commercial vegan tartar sauce can be super expensive - and they can be hit-and-miss in terms of taste. That's why we came up with this Vegan Tartar Sauce. It's creamy and full of classic flavors. The vegan mayonnaise adds lusciousness, while the lemon juice and dill pickles add tanginess. We also added maple syrup for sweetness and Dijon mustard for heat. We finished with garlic, salt, and pepper to add flavor.

Besides making a good dip for onion rings and fries, this Vegan Tartar Sauce goes well with vegan crab cakes and vegan fish fillets.

  • 1/2 cup Vegan Mayonnaise 

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

  • 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup

  • 2 tablespoons Dill Pickles, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, finely chopped

  • 1 clove Garlic, finely grated

  • Pinch Salt

  • Pinch Pepper


Mix well in a small mixing bowl, and add vegan mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, maple syrup, dill pickles, parsley, and garlic.

Season using salt and pepper.

This vegan tartar sauce is best served fresh. However, it can last up to 4 days in the fridge when placed in an airtight food storage container.
