Store-bought Granola can be a minefield if you're watching your sugars. That's because of all the sugar that's added to it. This homemade Granola is crispy, crunchy, and delicious. The cinnamon adds natural sweetness, which is accentuated by the vanilla extract. Best of all, this Granola contains no added sugar, so it's good for you too. Now that's a win-win situation.

Ingredients

Sugar Free Granola
  • 2 cups Oats, dry

  • 1/2 cup Cashews

  • 1/4 cup Almonds, sliced

  • 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds

  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  • 3 Large Egg whites

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • Note: To keep this recipe gluten-free, make sure you use (Certified) Gluten-Free Oats

Instructions

Preheat oven to 225 °F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, add oats, cashews, almonds, sesame seeds, ground cinnamon, and salt. 

 

In a separate bowl, add egg whites. Using a wire whisk or electric hand mixer/stand mixer, beat until soft peaks form.

Beat vanilla extract into the egg white mixture.

Fold egg white mixture into the oat mixture. Gently stir until the oat mixture is coated.

Spread mixture on parchment-paper-lined baking sheet.

Bake in the oven, stirring every 20 minutes, until granola gets crispy, about 1 hour.
