This spinach sauce is made from spinach, basil, coconut milk, nutritional yeast, cornstarch, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

It's best to add spinach to pasta sauces at the end of cooking to retain a bright green color, preventing it from turning brown. Adding spinach at the end of cooking pasta sauce will also keep the spinach from getting mushy due to overcooking.

Add all the ingredients into a high-powered blender, and blend for 2–3 minutes until smooth. 

In a powerful blender, combine all the ingredients, and blend for two to three minutes, or until smooth.

Use a place into an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use. 

Place into an airtight container and store in the fridge until needed.

Once you're ready to use the sauce simply add it to a medium-sized pan, and set the pan onto medium heat on the stovetop for a few minutes until the sauce has warmed through. Toss with your favorite pasta, grains, or vegetables. 

Optional: You may add red bell peppers or chili flakes for additional color and spice. 

When the sauce is ready to be used, simply add it to a medium-sized skillet and heat the pan over medium heat until the sauce is thoroughly warmed. Add your preferred pasta, grains, or vegetables and toss.  Red bell peppers and chili flakes are optional but offer more color and heat.
