Why go through the hard work of baking a decadent Nutella cake in the oven when you can make it in less than 2 minutes in the microwave. This Nutella mug cake only consists of 3 simple ingredients: self-rising flour, Nutella, and milk. However, you can add extra add-ins such as pecans, walnuts, or chocolate chips if desired. All in all, garnished with blackberries and mint, this Nutella Mug Cake is decadent, sweet, and divine.

How Do You Keep A Mug Cake Moist?

The outer edges of the Nutella Mug Cake will cook faster than its center. This means the mug cake's exterior will dry out by the time the cake's interior is finished cooking. Add one tablespoon of water to the top of the mug cake. The water will evaporate and prevent the top of the mug cake from overcooking and drying out, leaving you with a moist mug cake.

Can You Reheat A Mug Cake?

Of course, you can reheat mug cakes. If your mug cake looks dry, add a splash of milk or coffee to it. Reheat your mug cake in the microwave for 15-30 seconds until it is warm. Do not heat the mug cake longer than this, or it will start to dry out and develop a rubbery texture.

Can You Store Mug Cake In The Fridge?

Yes, you can refrigerate leftover mug cake. However, make sure you cover the mug cake with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out.

Can you eat a mug cake the next day?

Yes, you can eat Nutella mug cake the next day, just heat it up for 20 seconds in the microwave before consuming.
