Chimichurri Burgers are rich, delicious, extremely addicting, and filling. Seared beef patties topped with white cheddar cheese slices are placed onto keto or gluten-free burger buns smeared with smashed avocados. The burgers are topped with fresh homemade chimichurri sauce, thinly sliced red onions, and the top burger bun. This chimichurri burger is tasty; however, if you want to make it even better, serve it with Air Fryer Zucchini Chips or Avocado ChipsSweet Potato Fries and Okra Fries are also good gluten-free options. Either way, this chimichurri burger will be delicious no matter what you serve it with.

Instructions

Chimichurri:

Place the chimichurri ingredients into a food processor and pulse until the ingredients are finely minced and combined. 
 

Mixing chimichurri Seasonings

Pour the chimichurri into a small bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and set it aside until the burgers are cooked.

Burger Patties:

Add the ground chuck into a large bowl along with the garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper, and salt. Mix it with your hands until it is combined. Do not overmix the burger mixture. 
 

Preparing burger patties and it's ingredients

Divide the mixture into four sections. Grab one area of the meat and roll it into a small ball using your hands. 
 

Shaping 4 burger balls

Flatten the ball slightly and shape it into a patty that is 1/2 inch thick. Place the burger onto a plate and repeat with the remaining 3 sections. 
 

Preparing the burger patties

Place a large cast-iron skillet on the stove. Turn it to medium-high heat. Add the burger patties to the skillet and cook them for 3-4 minutes. Turn the burgers over and cook them for another 4 minutes. 
 

Cooking the burger patties

Add a slice of white cheddar cheese to each burger and cook the burgers for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.

Remove the burgers from the skillet, place them onto a plate. Let the burgers rest for 2 minutes.

Smashed Avocadoes:

Place the avocado, lime juice, salt, and pepper into a small bowl, and smash with a fork until it reaches your desired texture.

Assembly:

Place the bottom burger buns onto a serving platter. Spread the smashed avocados onto each bun.

Add the burgers on top of the smashed avocados. Add 1-2 tablespoons of chimichurri to each burger and top with the sliced onions and the top bun.
