Depending on the temperature of the sweet potato fries, it could take 10-25 minutes to cook in the air fryer.

What temperature do I cook sweet potato chips in air fryer?

Most sweet potato recipes recommend cooking sweet potato chips are 350 °F. However, I find it's best to begin with, a low temperature and cook the sweet potato chips at 250 °F. This temperature allows the sweet potato chips to cook evenly. Then, the temperature is increased for the last 5 minutes to 350 °F. To crisp up the sweet potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 3 large Sweet Potatoes, washed, scrubbed, thinly cut into 1/8 inch slices using a mandolin

  • 1/4 cup Avocado Oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon Cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger

  • 1/8 teaspoon Allspice

  • 4 tablespoons Brown Sugar-Free Sweetener

Instructions

To a large bowl, add sweet potato chips and avocado oil and toss to coat the chips in the olive oil.

Add the salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, allspice, and sugar-free sweetener and toss to coat the chips in the seasoning.

Place some sweet potatoes into the air fryer basket in an even layer. Do not overcrowd the basket. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °F.

Place the sweet potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket—Cook the sweet potato chips for 20 minutes. Next, turn the sweet potato chips over, increase the air fryer temperature to 350 °F and cook them for 5 minutes. Continue cooking the sweet potato chips until all of them are done.

 

Place the sweet potatoes into a small bowl and serve the chips on their own, with a vegan ranch dressing or ketchup if desired.
